One clear reference per character
Start with an image in which the face is easy to identify. Soft, even light and a simple background make it easier to separate the person from the scene around them.
- One adult per image, with eyes and facial features visible.
- Avoid sunglasses, extreme crops and heavy beauty filters.
- Check that you have permission to use both references.
Give each reference a stable role
Label the people before describing the action. Calling them reference A and reference B is enough. Use the same labels throughout the prompt instead of changing between names, positions and clothing descriptions.
Review before adding more detail
A clear reference helps communicate your intent, but does not guarantee an exact likeness. Check the face, hands and pose in the output before adding more complex actions or camera moves.
